About C3
C3 Jian, Incorporated ("C3") is a development stage company with offices in Sequim, Washington and Los Angeles, California. Our research and development activities are conducted in its Los Angeles laboratories and in collaboration with the laboratories of Dr. Wenyuan Shi at the University of California, Los Angeles. C3 is a California corporation, formed in 2005.
C3 develops unique products that diagnose, treat and prevent bacterial and fungal infections, especially on mucosal surfaces in humans and animals and in industrial biofilms. C3's technologies are applicable to both medical and dental markets. Our areas of focus are the eradication of the bacteria that cause cavities (dental caries infections) and targeted antimicrobial therapy for medical microbial pathogens primarily on mucosal surfaces. While not our current focus, C3's technologies are applicable to many industrial applications including commercial crop infection management, food processing, livestock and pet infections and more.
C3 has attracted the interest of major multinational corporations in two areas:

A technological platform that generates species-specific diagnostic
peptides and Specifically Targeted Anti-Microbial Peptides (STAMPs).
STAMPs have the ability to seek out and kill selected microbial
pathogens in biofilms while leaving the remainder of the microbial
ecosystem undisturbed. This is a quantum improvement over broad-spectrum
antimicrobials and antibiotics;
- A collection of rigorously characterized traditional Chinese herbs and their bioactive components that show specific and highly effective antimicrobial activity towards the bacteria that cause dental infections [Gram(+) and Gram(-) and fungal] as well as many major medical pathogens that are antibiotic resistant.
C3 technologies (STAMPs and herbal extracts) have been externally validated by governmental science agencies, independent academic laboratories or major multinational corporations. While maintaining our development focus, we are exploring new products, based on these platforms.
